Mr. Cassaday:
Just a note to tell you again how great the kangaroo bullwhip I purchased from you really is. I got the whip at the 2001 Ranch Rodeo Finals show. Honestly, I was scared to carry it much horseback because I did not trust the durability of kangaroo. However, one year after the fact and many miles tied to my saddle and after much use the whip is better than ever. As you told me would happen the whip has improved with use. The braids are as tight today as the day I bought the whip, it takes very little effort to get a loud, cattle moving crack. The kangaroo has held up far beyond my expectations and today has only a few marks in it.
I have owned and used many whips in the past from nylon to cowhide. Your whips surpass them all in craftsmanship, durability and ease of use. I enjoyed visiting with you again at this year's ranch rodeo finals and hope to see you again next year.
Thanks again and all the best.

Subject: Successful Back Scratcher
Hi Benton. I meant to write to you sooner, but you know how it goes!
Anyway, today is my boss's birthday, and your backscratcher is the first present he opened. He really likes it, and appreciates that it is hand made and "custom"! Thanks again to you for making sure I received it in time. It is really appreciated.
Hope things are OK in Texas. My family is from a little town called Burnet, and they were one of the original pioneer families in the area. Have you ever heard of Dorbandt's Pass near Lake Buchanan? That was my great-great-great grandfather, who immigrated from Denmark. They were big-time ranchers -- as a matter of fact, the ranch which had been in the family for about 100 years, was sold a couple of years ago. Sad, but that's how things go. Hope I get back there some day to see a couple of parcels of the ranch that are still left.
Take care Benton, and thanks again.

Hello Benton,
Hi Mr. Cassiday,
I went outside today, to try out the Redsnapper, the handling was wonderful, actually graceful.
I was doing the overhead/horizontal crack, along with several others,I am really enjoying the handling of the whip.
I just had to contact you once again to let you know how great the whip handles, as well as looks.
Thanks again, and all the best,
Jim Jarrell.
Hello Benton,
I got the whip yesterday. What a piece a work! The box was beat up by the post office but the whip was not damaged. I worked with it yesterday evening and I will work with it more this weekend. It cracks great and flows out well. It is tight as all good new whips are. It has a good weight to it. Thanks for the extra fall. The other fall you sent me works great with my other kangaroo whip.
Thanks for the quick delivery!
Bobby Carter
Hello Benton,
I got your web sight, Well I thought that us Aussies were good with Kangaroo skin braiding but I got to admit that what you do is better than any I have seen over here.
Did you get the leather from the address that I sent you?
I am making what we call stock whips at the moment, but only 16 strand overlay and with a 24 strand handle, that is as much as I can manage. To do a 36 strand is something else.
I might see you next year as I am thinking of going over to Alpine for the gathering their.
Regards
John Sammon
Hello!
I just thought I would write to let you know that I received my whip in the mail the other day and I think it is just beautiful!! I was wondering if I would be motivated to learn how to use it, and after I saw it and held it, there is no longer a question of motivation! I was even told by a long time friend that I looked way too comfortable with it in my hand. Just think what they'll say after I know what I'm doing! Thank you so much!

Benton- That little alley whip is a beauty!
The picture on the web site doesn't do it justice. The stock has just the right amount of "whip" to it to give it a nice action and the thong is perfectly weighted. With no break in it has a nice snap. I also like the softness of the plaiting on the handle, is that kangaroo?
I will be ordering more of these as gifts. Even if they aren't used, they look great as a part of a collection.
Great job,
Dick Vallee

The whip arrived today, its even more than I expectied, it is truly beautiful. It looks exactly like the whips on TV in some of western shows that I watch. I can hardly wait to try her out, except it about 103 degrees outside, mabey Thursday. Anyway thanks a million Mr.. Cassaday, and I look forward to placing more orders very soon, like for two cowhide bullwhips in 8plait and 7' long to add my collection. Thankyou verymuch, I am truly impressed with the whip. I almost forgot to ask you, I have a leatherdressing called Pecard Never Leak, its says its good for all leather goods, I know it does not have salt or solvents in it, do you think it be alright to use on the whip? sorry about all this fatchewing, talk to later and thank you again.
